Hannah Peterson
Manager for Learning and Organizational Development
Hannah serves as Manager of Learning and Organizational Development, where she leads a team focused on creating meaningful learning and development opportunities for all employees across the institution. Through a data-informed approach, she works to ensure learning programs meet employee needs while advancing the University's mission, values, and Strategic Compass.
Since joining WVU in 2024 as a Training and Development Specialist, Hannah has played a key role in several signature initiatives. Her work spans all levels of the University, from frontline employees to senior leaders, helping individuals and teams grow in ways that align with their unique strengths and professional goals. She also serves as the Learning Lead for the Workday Business Modernization project.
Before joining WVU, Hannah served as an HR Business Partner at Tesla in their Seats Manufacturing facility, supporting a fast-paced manufacturing workforce. Her professional background also includes HR roles in the restaurant and financial services industries.
Hannah earned both her BS in Management and MS in Human Resource Management from Purdue University. As a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, she brings her top 5 CliftonStrengths® – Relator, Learner, Individualization, Intellection, and Discipline – to her work each day, helping others discover their potential while fostering a culture of continuous growth and development.
Outside of work, Hannah enjoys traveling with her husband and their two dogs, Sterling and Ivy. Together, they've called five states home, and after extensive field research, West Virginia remains the clear winner.
