Meet president e. gordon gee

He's one of America’s most prominent higher education leaders.
And he brought the bow tie back.

Dr. Gee has served as president of some of the most prestigious public and private universities for more than three decades. After first serving as WVU's president in 1981, he went on to hold presidencies at the University of Colorado, Brown University, Vanderbilt University and The Ohio State University. 

Dr. Gee came home to WVU in 2014 and now is serving his second term at the helm of the University. Dr. Gee works tirelessly every day to advance WVU’s land-grant mission and open doors to the American dream.
