Self-Identify as an Individual with a Disability

The Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action at West Virginia University is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive culture across the entire WVU system. After all, Respect is one of our core values, and we recognize that promoting inclusion and equality is critical to advancing education, innovation and the University’s land-grant mission.

To further our efforts in recognizing diverse populations and providing them with appropriate services and support, we are inviting people with disabilities to voluntarily self-identify. This information will help us foster an environment where all faculty and staff can pursue their dreams and aspirations.

To self-identify as a person with a disability, visit portal.wvu.edu, log in to the portal using your WVU credentials, and follow the steps below:

1.     Select the “MyHR” tab.

2.     Select “Disability Status.”

3.     Enter your information and select “Submit.”

Select the MyHR Tab, Select Disability Status

If you require this information in an accessible format or need assistance completing the voluntary information, contact Jill Hess in the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Jill.Hess@mail.wvu.edu or 304-293-5600.

Thank you for helping advance West Virginia University’s commitment to diversity!
