Affordable Care Act Information and Resources
On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed into law the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The law put in place comprehensive health insurance reforms intended to make health care more affordable, accessible and of a higher quality for families, businesses, and taxpayers alike. The Affordable Care Act has expanded those employees considered eligible for health insurance through their employers, including West Virginia University, and has implemented new IRS reporting requirements, among other changes.
