How to make Open Enrollment changes

MAKING OPEN ENROLLMENT CHANGES

Since WVU's benefits are grouped together by administrator, and changes to those benefits are made in the same way, below are instructions on how to change any of the benefits by administrator. All open enrollment changes must be finalized on or before May 15, 2026.

Benefits administered by the Public Employees Insurance Agency (PEIA)

These benefits include:

  • PEIA Health Insurance / Prescription
  • The Health Plan Health Insurance / Prescription
  • Basic Life Insurance
  • Optional Life Insurance
  • Dependent Life Insurance

Review all of the benefits administered by PEIA in the PEIA Benefit's Guide.

Option 1: Online Open Enrollment

Visit PEIA Manage My Benefits and follow the prompts to login and move step by step through your options. Don't forget to save and submit your changes!

For assistance on using Management My Benefits, reference Instructions on How to Use PEIA's Manage My Benefits.

If adding dependents, please upload copies of the required dependent eligibility documentation.

Option 2: Paper Forms

Request a personalized Open Enrollment Transfer Form from PEIA by calling 1-877-676-5573.

Paper forms will need sent back to WVU Shared Services.

Visit MyFBMC and follow the prompts to login and move step by step through your options. Don't forget to save and submit your changes!

Option 2: Paper Forms

Complete the FBMC Form mailed to your home address.

Paper forms will need sent back to WVU Shared Services.
