Pet Insurance

West Virginia University offers Pet Insurance to help employees manage unexpected veterinary expenses and provide access to comprehensive care for their pets.

Carrier: Nationwide

  • Coverage Options: All plans include accident coverage, with additional illness coverage and wellness coverage add-on options available to customize your plan.
    • Each coverage type offers two annual maximum amounts to choose from.

  • Reimbursement and Deductible Options: Choose from three reimbursement percentages and three annual deductible amounts to customize your plan. 

  • Premiums: Premiums are based on your customized plan options and are billed directly by the carrier to the enrolled participant; premiums are not deducted from your paycheck.

  • Enrollment: Benefits-eligible and non-benefits-eligible employees may enroll at any time.
