Key Highlights
- The WVU Plan Year runs from July 1 through June 30.
- In order to be considered eligible for benefits, an employee must work a minimum of nine months within a 12-month period and be scheduled to work a minimum of 1,040 hours during the 12-month period.
- This includes classified, non-classified and Faculty Equivalents/Academic Professionals (FE/AP).
- For example, employees who work at least 37.5 hours per week over nine months or employees who work at least 20 hours per week over 12 months are benefits-eligible.
- Faculty members who work .72 Full Time Equivalency (FTE) or greater in a nine-month period are benefits-eligible.
