Formal Performance Review
These resources are designed to guide you through the formal performance review process, an important part of the overall performance management cycle. The performance review process gives supervisors an effective tool to provide formal feedback to their employees in addition to the ongoing feedback that occurs throughout the year. Performance reviews are also an opportunity to solicit feedback from employees on their performance, experiences, and expectations. We expect that all classified and non-classified employees receive a
performance review on an annual basis.
Reminder: All people leaders at WVU are expected to complete the eLearning course: An Inside Look at WVU Performance Management for an overview of full cycle performance management and details of the formal review process. These self-paced modules will also walk you through how and when to use supplemental resources to empower, encourage, and support employees.
Visit the LOD webpage to register or view An Inside Look at WVU Performance Management directly in the class registration portal. For a complete list of professional and leadership development learning opportunities, view the LOD Course Catalog.
