Flu Season Information

Fall 2020 flu vaccination 

To promote the health and safety of our campus community, WVU is encouraging all faculty, staff and students to get an influenza vaccination this fall.

WVU faculty and staff, dependent family members and retirees are being provided drive-thru or on-campus options this year.

Vaccinations are being provided and administered by WVU Medicine.

Drive-Thru Flu Vaccination

This option is for residents of Monongalia and Preston counties.

Location:
University Town Centre Clinic

Dates:
Now through Saturday, Nov. 14

Times:
Monday through Thursday, 5 to 8 p.m.

Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m to 5 p.m.

WVU Medicine will not administer the vaccine to children under the age of 5 at the drive-thru clinic.  

Patients who already are scheduled to see their primary care provider for a routine visit can receive their flu shot at the same time.

On-Campus Flu Vaccination

Schedule an appointment now!

  1. You will register for an appointment via StarRez (WVU’s housing portal): myhousing.wvu.edu
  2. Click the Login button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. WVU login credentials and a WVUID number are required to register. You can claim your account, reset your password or find your WVUID number at login.wvu.edu.
  3. Select the COVID-19/Flu Shot Appointments option in the upper-left corner of your screen and follow to prompts to register for your appointment. After you have registered, you should receive email confirmation of your appointment date/time. You also may want to take a screenshot of the confirmation webpage for your records.

If you currently are in quarantine due to an exposure to someone who tested positive for COVID-19, or you are not feeling well or exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, you should reschedule your appointment until you are cleared from quarantine or are no longer exhibiting symptoms.

What to Bring

  • Bring a copy of your insurance card for billing.  Cash cannot be accepted.

Flu shots are a fully covered service under PEIA and The Health Plan for insured employees and their dependent family members.

  • Wear clothing that allows convenient access to the upper arm.
