West Virginia University (WVU) offers benefits-eligible employees an option for a Hearing Plan to help pay for examinations and hearing aid devices.

Coverage Options: Four coverage options are available.
- Employee Only - employee is the only one covered.
- Employee + Spouse - employee plus their legal spouse is covered.
- Employee + Child(ren) - employee plus their legal dependent(s) up to age 26 are covered.
- Employee + Family - employee plus their legal spouse and legal dependent(s) up to age 26 are covered.
- Plan Options: One plan option available.

Premiums: Premiums are tax-free and deducted over 18 or 24 pays depending on length of employee's contract.

Enrollment: Employees may enroll the month of hire or during the two following months.
- To enroll, complete the Mountaineer Flexible Benefits enrollment form and submit directly to WVU Shared Services at SharedServices@mail.wvu.edu .
- Beyond the new hire enrollment period, coverage can only be changed during the annual open enrollment period or on the basis of a qualifying life event.
